As the only association representing the Senior Move Managers®, NASMM has a responsibility to set and promote best practices in Senior Move Management business development and client services. Through our Code of Ethics, NASMM has set the highest ethical standards for Senior Move Managers to protect both the integrity of our profession, and the clients we serve.
Prior to obtaining full General Membership, all NASMM members must take and pass our Cornerstone Course in Senior Move Management Ethics and Accountability.
Additionally, all NASMM members must sign and abide by the NASMM Code of Ethics and submit to oversight and guidance from the NASMM Ethics Compliance Commission (NECC).
NASMM members are guided and supported by the NASMM Ethics and Compliance Commission; and NASMM offers a formal review process for any client complaints filed against our Move Managers.
The NASMM Code of Ethics addresses ethics through an expansive system of categories, standards and guidelines detailed below:

I will respect and encourage the client’s right to be in control and to make decisions.
Standard 3 – Right to Privacy
I will not disclose personal information about clients and will reveal such information only with the client’s permission.
Standard 4 – Conflict of Interest
I will seek to avoid conflicts of interest, and will use best practices for reducing conflicts of interest when dual relationships are present.
Standard 5 – Integrity
I will be honest in all business relationships, including those with clients, employers, colleagues, and staff.
Standard 6 – Accountability
I am accountable to clients, employees and the general public.
Standard 7 – Continuing Education
I will promote the competency and professionalism of myself and my staff through continuing education.
