Last Chance! Space Planning Survey — Your Opinion Counts
NASMM is considering the option of offering a pre-conference workshop on 3D design and space planning at the 2019 Annual Conference. To determine the level of interest in this topic, we have developed a brief survey. Your responses will help us gauge interest in this topic and streamline content for a positive learning outcome and future product development to meet the unique needs of Senior Move Managers. Is Your Insurance Current?
All NASMM General Members are required to carry General Business Liability and keep a copy of Certificate of Insurance (COI) on file. NASMM audits members for insurance and removes members from the "Find A Senior Move Manager" map if insurance is not current. To update your "MyNASMM" account with your current insurance, follow these instructions:

  • Log into "MY NASMM"
  • Click on the orange "Manage My NASMM" box
  • Click on "My Profile" — this will bring up your company profile
  • Click on the blue box at the top of your profile — "Edit company information"
  • Edit your information
  • If you need to upload your certificate of insurance or letters of recommendation, scroll down to the bottom of your company profile to the upload fields. Please make sure these files are saved as .pdf files.
  • Upload your files from your computer
  • Hit the blue submit button at the bottom to save your changes

Keeping Memories and Sharing Wisdom: Writing a Legacy Letter
The term, Ethical Will, is a writing tradition in which the author expresses his/her life wisdom, love and life values with a loved one with the intention that it serve as a future guide, inspiration and support. The term recognizes the historical genesis of this practice, which comes from the Old Testament and was carried forward in the New Testament. The term, Legacy Letter, serves the same function as the Ethical Will, but is conceived outside any particular religious or historical foundation.

Thinking of Selling Your Home? Do It Before 2020, Economists Say
Prospective home buyers these days are probably feeling pressure to lock in a deal quickly given skyrocketing home prices across most of the country. But those who wait a couple of years may be rewarded. Real-estate website Zillow and research firm Pulsenomics surveyed more than 100 real-estate experts and economists — and roughly half of them predicted that the next recession will begin sometime in 2020, most likely in the first quarter. That's actually later than the panel's previous prediction of late 2019.
