FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the difference between Provisional membership and Full General membership?
Everyone joins NASMM as a Provisional member. Whether you are in the business planning/start up phase of your senior move management business or already have an established business, you will join NASMM as a Provisional member.

Provisional membership gives you access to most NASMM member benefits except being listed on the NASMM website and voting privileges. Provisional members are provided access to the NASMM logo upon providing proof of general business liability insurance and taking the Cornerstone Courses in Safety and Ethics.

  • Once you provide NASMM with all of the requirements for General membership, your company will be listed on the NASMM website and will be eligible to vote in NASMM elections.

What are the requirements for Full General Membership?

  • Upload a copy of your insurance declaration page to your online member profile.
  • Upload two (2) letters of recommendation from senior clients you have moved or senior living communities where you have moved a client to your online member profile.
  • Take and pass the NASMM Cornerstone Courses. There are four courses, Safety, Ethics, The Moving Industry 101 and Understanding Contracts and Liability. These online courses are sold as a four-course bundle for $189 and must be purchased and taken by each company owner.
  • Provide a link to a live website highlighting your Senior Move Management Services
